Dutch Buddy Energy only collects information needed to run the energy scan, process requests and assess professional partners.

What information do we process?

A request may include your name, email address, telephone number, postcode, town, energy use, home details, budget and product preferences. A professional-partner application may also include company details, service area, experience and certification information.

Why do we use it?

• To process an energy scan or request.
• To assess whether a request suits a vetted professional partner.
• To review companies before they may receive leads.
• To prevent misuse and improve the service.

Functional storage

The scan uses temporary browser storage and a secure functional cookie to keep answers available during the advice journey. Submitted forms are stored securely.

Web statistics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page views, sessions, traffic sources, device type and general use. Google Analytics may place analytics cookies for this purpose. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and sending user data for advertising are disabled. We do not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, postcodes or form contents to Google.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal data. A request is only shared with a suitable supplier or installer when needed for the follow-up step you requested. We retain data only as long as required for review, follow-up and legal obligations.

Roles and responsibility

Dutch Buddy provides general information, indicative calculations and first-contact mediation. You make the final choice. Dutch Buddy is not the supplier or installer and is not a party to your agreement with a professional partner.

Network partners are independent businesses. The selected partner is responsible for the inspection, exact calculation, quotation, planning, installation, safety, warranties and aftercare.

Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion. For privacy requests only, contact info@dutchbuddy.com. Do not send sensitive documents by ordinary email.
